Kate Crane left the building
When the class finished. Way too soon of course. Morning till early afternoon zips by, why is it that having fun seems to shorten the day?

We know the drill by now… 10 To 3: paint, brush, scrape, drink coffee, paint more, spray… I am making sure that my camera is out of the spray reach.

Brushes galore

Bottles galore, Dylusions, Tim Holtz, Glimmer mist, Mica… Heaven in a small flask.

Stencils, numbers, letters, corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap, anything goes.

My colors for the day hold a lot of blue. We are making a calendar. Since we will be traveling through the American South West once more in January I want the colour of the blue skies in Arizona and New Mexico. Woohzee… Kate is famous for her calendar pages. Find them here:

I had been eyeballing Kate’s calendar challenge, let’s see how long I can keep it up.
Kate found her inspiration on Jill’s blog. It’s amazing to look at the both of them and see how different they are.
I think I will join for 2012… A little bit of each day, and who knows, maybe one day my granddaughters will be happy browsing through them.

We had all kinds of different takes yesterday aswell.
Kate went for red
It’s fascinating to see a page grown with each added on layer.

Another lady picked black and it looked wonderful!

Magenta joined the game

with blueish accents

For my February page I picked lime green as starting point

It’s food for our souls to sit in Dyan’s studio in Art from the Heart, en passant I also glance at the jar with buttons.

Another pleasant class day under our belt we go home happy campers. All geared up for January 2012 to arrive so we can start filling in our calendars.
The soundsnippet will follow. Don’t get it of my phone. Darn it!
